I had such a fun time getting to know luxury womenswear designer, Elena Bobysheva while shooting this portrait of her for the April 2016 issue of CS Magazine. We found we had a lot in common and effortlessly shot in between breaks of conversations.

e l e n a b o b y s h e v a is a contemporary womenswear label with a high-end focus that is rooted in sustainability and animal welfare. Defined by perfectly executed tailoring, attention to detail, and precision cut dresses, e l e n a b o b y s h e v a defines the contemporary, feminine silhouette. Inspiration drawn from geometry and structural design, is combined with an emphasis on various textile combinations, color blocking, and experimentation of soft and hard geometrical lines. Characterized by a commitment for craftsmanship and flattering fit, her designs are deceptively uncomplicated, polished, and timelessly elegant. Launched in 2013, Elena applied her own deeply held values to the heart of her business. Elena does not use fur, leather, or exotic skin in her collections and her sustainability efforts range from textile recycling, biodegradable packaging, green shipping, and in-house dress-making.

A fellow Chicago Artist, holding high standards of quality and craftsmanship – My heart swoons. I am excited to watch her career unfold as she is most definitely a force to reckon with.
